Sir Walter Scott’s Ivanhoe is one of the great books of the Charlotte Mason upper forms, and one of the most often abandoned. The first four chapters are a wall. This companion gets your reader over it and keeps them going.
Inside: a chapter tracker for all forty-four chapters; six reading blocks with historical background to share before each reading (Normans and Saxons, Richard’s captivity, the Templars, Trial by combat) and discussion prompts to use after narration; a character tracker; a dated timeline from Hastings to Magna Carta with a fact-or-fiction sort and blank timeline pages with plan glossaries of Scott’s archaic words; and a generous ruled space for written narrations and exam notes.
39 pages, US Letter printable PDF. Personal and single-family use.
